Overview
Feed enters a central feedwell where flocculant is added and the slurry is distributed radially. Solids settle, are raked toward the centre discharge, and clarified overflow leaves via a peripheral launder.
Rake drives are sized with a generous torque margin and fitted with lift-on-torque protection, so a heavy sanding event raises the rake instead of shearing the drive.
